Vanillekipferl are scented biscuits with a vanilla and almond aroma. Even though Christmas is over, Sunday afternoon I couldn't resist the temptation to make these vanilla cookies to accompany Twinings' new vanilla tea. Here is the recipe that I followed, I found these really fantastic almond biscuits: P
How to make Vanillekipferl
In a bowl, mix the softened butter with the sugar.
Then add the yolk, the vanilla essence and mix the mixture.
Stir in the almond flour and the sifted flour.
Let the flour absorb the dough, but without working it too much, until you have a smooth and homogeneous dough. Let the dough rest in the fridge, covered with a film, for at least half an hour.
Take the dough and form cylinders with it which you will then place on a baking sheet covered with baking paper giving it the shape of a crescent.
Bake the vanillekipferl in a preheated oven at 180 ° C and cook for about 10 minutes.
Let the vanillekipferls cool, then sprinkle them with the vanilla icing sugar and serve.
